by VR6R on November 22, 2008, 06:52:00 PMThe next Gtactix update is available for download! It is in beta format still so I recommend saving it to a separate folder than your current GTactix directory. No install is necessary if you have already installed a previous version of GTactix, just save the exe and run it to check it out. See the official beta post for more info and download links. Please post any bug reports or errors you find HERE. Enjoy! 172 Views | 0 Replies

by VR6R on November 03, 2008, 01:15:19 AMI've been working on the next update the past two weekends, and with all the free time I have. It is getting very close to being ready for release... finally Here is a little taste of the latest addition which I'd say is appx 90% complete... the official GTactix Pack Builder A few notes about the builder. Custom packs can be password protected so others can't mess around with your work. includes support for single-level map folders to group your maps into, as well as drag-&-drop support for easier organization of your maps. One of the big features with this tool and the new map pack format is that it gives users the ability to publish and host their own custom map updates - and they don't have to be hosted in the official map vault. This will allow clans and teams to host their map packs on their own web server if they want to keep the packs private, and when an update is made to a map pack users can simply update the pack directly from within gtactix. No manual downloading or copying or editing files. I will... 469 Views | 19 Replies

by VR6R on October 22, 2008, 10:39:06 PMDrum roll please. . . . . . . GTactix has officially reached over 100,000 unique users!!! Gamers just like you and me, looking to frag a little more efficiently... pwn a little more completely... and prove their utter 1337ness a little more convincingly.
I just want to extend a HUGE thanks to everyone that has helped support GTactix since its release, and continues to do so. Without the gaming community it would be a sad little lonely program, and we certainly don't want that.
In the coming months, you can expect to see some sizable changes around here. Most importantly, the ever-in-progress next version of GTactix is inching closer and closer to release form, which will usher in a rush of new map packs, features, and goodies for you to use, along with a more in depth & community-oriented map vault to help you find what your looking for.
More info will be coming on that as it is available, my purpose here was really just to thank everyone for their feedback and support, and to encourage you to help spread the word about GTactix. The larger and stronger the community becomes, the... 123 Views | 0 Replies

by VR6R on September 22, 2008, 01:45:47 AMHey everyone, just wanted to give a little status update and sneak peak at a few new/updated features coming in the next patch... Here is a little screenshot to give you an idea visually for what is coming: As you see in the picture, the replay controls have been completely revised giving you much greater control of strat playback and navigation. In conjunction with the replay controls I have added a history slider and an Undo button, allowing you to quickly navigate and undo back to any point in your strat that you like. More info will be coming soon so stay tuned!! 252 Views | 2 Replies
