I've been working on the next update the past two weekends, and with all the free time I have.  It is getting very close to being ready for release... finally Smiley

Here is a little taste of the latest addition which I'd say is appx 90% complete... the official GTactix Pack Builder

A few notes about the builder.
Custom packs can be password protected so others can't mess around with your work.
includes support for single-level map folders to group your maps into, as well as drag-&-drop support for easier organization of your maps.

One of the big features with this tool and the new map pack format is that it gives users the ability to publish and host their own custom map updates - and they don't have to be hosted in the official map vault.  This will allow clans and teams to host their map packs on their own web server if they want to keep the packs private, and when an update is made to a map pack users can simply update the pack directly from within gtactix.  No manual downloading or copying or editing files.

I will...

Drum roll please. . . . . . .
GTactix has officially reached over 100,000 unique users!!!
Gamers just like you and me, looking to frag a little more efficiently... pwn a little more completely... and prove their utter 1337ness a little more convincingly.

I just want to extend a HUGE thanks to everyone that has helped support GTactix since its release, and continues to do so.  Without the gaming community it would be a sad little lonely program, and we certainly don't want that.

In the coming months, you can expect to see some sizable changes around here.  Most importantly, the ever-in-progress next version of GTactix is inching closer and closer to release form, which will usher in a rush of new map packs, features, and goodies for you to use, along with a more in depth & community-oriented map vault to help you find what your looking for.

More info will be coming on that as it is available, my purpose here was really just to thank everyone for their feedback and support, and to encourage you to help spread the word about GTactix.  The larger and stronger the community becomes, the...

Hey everyone, just wanted to give a little status update and sneak peak at a few new/updated features coming in the next patch...

Here is a little screenshot to give you an idea visually for what is coming:

As you see in the picture, the replay controls have been completely revised giving you much greater control of strat playback and navigation.
In conjunction with the replay controls I have added a history slider and an Undo button, allowing you to quickly navigate and undo back to any point in your strat that you like.

More info will be coming soon so stay tuned!! Cool

The wait is over!

A brief but much-anticipated tutorial on setting up a host is here!  Including a quick look at configuring port forwarding.
The youtube version is kinda small and hard to see so I uploaded a larger version - feel free to check that one out too at the following link:

Tutorial #2 - Hi-Res
(Note: the high res vid is about 5mb so it may take a minute or two to load)

Here you go guys, the first tutorial of several I have planned to help show how to use GTactix.
This first tutorial goes over how you can upload your own pictures to other connected users in an online session.

Can't find the pack and/or map that you want?  Upload your own and strategize away!  Here's how...

You guys may have noticed things have been kinda quiet on the GTactix front lately.  I had hoped to have more time in the past few months to devote to further development, but a number of unavoidable obligations prevented me from doing so.  However, I am happy to report that things have settled down and I am back to work on the next update to GTactix!!

This next update will include some major changes which will greatly enhance the flexibility of GTactix.  Most of these changes so far deal with the map pack system and how the program handles those packs.  This will largely be invisible to the user, but this new map pack format will make it MUCH easier for everyone to create their own packs and share them.  Included with the update (possibly as a separate download) will be an official map pack creation tool which will make the process of creating packs much quicker and easier.  Can't find the pack for the game you want?  Just create your own with a few simple mouse clicks!

The one caveat to the new map pack system is that given the scope of changes being made, I am having to put the addition of new map packs on...
